what about the forecast for this last weekend! bbc told us it was going to be a wash out on Sunday, but in the end it was mostly dry. I wonder how many people changed their plans on account of this poor forecasting.

Handy site by the way, thanks..

I'm really quite cross now, so watch out!

Going by the traffic mayhem on Monday; everyone stayed in so decided to come out on the bank holiday Monday.

I know it was a seasonal peak but going along the A14 eastbound, the A14 is struggling especially at copdock interchange. Heavy traffic all the way up to the Orwell Bridge. The traffic was moving just about. Rather disappointing that the solution to days like these is traffic through Ipswich on a vanity project of a bridge.

Monday traffic, late morning, solid queue heading south backing up from Foxhall roundabout all the way just about to the traffic lights at the hospital entrance. Never ever seen it like that before, aborted journey, turned into Heath Lane to avoid the queue and went back home again…

I'm really quite cross now, so watch out!

There are already plans for ~6000 new homes in the area with more proposed developments to follow. That is a lot more cars on the same roads.

Heath Road… extension to the original Ipswich Bypass as Ipswich eastern bypass around 1930s I believe. I am sure it has been resurfaced since a few times but for all intents and purposes is the same road without upgrades. Kesgrave didn’t exist beyond only a handful of dwellings at the time, neither did Ransomes Europark or Broke Hall etc. It is disgraceful.
