I have to say I am not to keen on the idea. There is part of me that believes a police helicopter is overkill in most applications... however, you can bet this police drone will be a common sight in the town centre. CCTV is bad enough but it will feel weird and annoying to hear (or see in the corner of your eye or the shadow) it hovering overhead all the time... no doubt Street Rangers will get to use it to catch shoplifters or just check if anything is going on before they need to bother walking down!!

That age-old "nothing to hide" argument I suppose... but it would scare people away from the town centre!

For rescue purposes it is a really good idea.
