It appears as if Suffolk County Council's Suffolk Highways will overlap two major roundabout roadworks in the town. Confirmed.

Why would anyone overlap two major roadworks in the east of the town affecting two roundabouts?!

For example, Ipswich Buses struggle to run their bus routes on an average day, how will they run services with these roadworks? An hour delay could be likely?

Sorry, its probably mentioned somewhere, but when are these happening? Are they also going to overlap with the west bound A14 works and the next round of the diversion through the town? If so, its a really bad idea! Not that anyone at all knows when/if west bound works will take place, as its still a secret!

    Subject to change

    and

So provisionally, between 5th March and 20th April - 6 weeks - overlap.

And all then potentially clashing with overnight diversion works, that'll be fun for those living near the junctions. Planning at its best...

I thought they did quite well (initially) ensuring they didn't clash... (okay, Nacton Road required to be undertaken at the same time) so I really do not know what their game was to then change it so they did overlap.

Not sure why I put that tweet on that town centre traffic layer google map!
